after some searching on-line I see that Benelli has a Steady Grip stock (pistol grip) for the M2 field so. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with experience in removing M2 stocks as to what I am to expect once that expensive thing gets here. I still am partial to the pistol grip stock but I need to think about that some more. Ok, one last 'dumb' question about M2 configurations. Yes, I am a proud, happy, owner of a Benelli M2 and I really like the gun, but being from Heir Cuomo's sub-nation- NYS, I am replacing the pistol grip stock with a 'straight, M2 field style stock. From shooting skeet with your friends, to hunting wild game, the Benelli M2 Tactical Semi Auto Shotgun is a great shotgun to have. So, it sounds like a Benelli M2 Field w/21" VR barrel + chokes (anyone want to recommend the ones I'll most likely to need?) is the way to go. The Benelli M2 Tactical Semi Auto Shotgun can be used for many many purposes.

#Benelli m2 pistol grip stock mods
and 3) when starting something new I always like to buy quality equipment that I know is above my present skill level (ie: I can't take advantage of all the equipment's capabilities yet) so I can grow into it & in this case maybe even be able to keep the basic gun and do mods when my performnce is being hindred by not doing them & I can justify spending an additional $2,000 on the $1,000 gun I bought. my main concern at this point is to be able to get a solid shotgun that 1) doesn't put me at an "equipment disadvantage" starting out even though my skills are at the low end since I'm just getting into 3-gun, 2) I don't want to buy a gun & then find out 3 months into competitons that I really should have bought an "X" instead.
