So I deleted the store content in the launcher in anticipation of re-downloading it when I hit the next problem: I can't download one stinking thing from The Sims 3 store. So I tried reinstalling all the store content in The Sims 3 launcher.no dice.every store purchased item returned a "failed to install, please make sure The Sims 3 is the current version" or something along those lines. For the most part it went smoothly, my saves and households were there and all the expansions and stuff packs installed correctly however none of The Sims 3 store content was visable in game, even though the custom content worked fine. And you shouldn't necessarily expect much from me or any other G4TW staff member in this matter, but I/we might still think about it.īut again, beyond that, I'm afraid you're out of luck, sorry.I recently downloaded all the Sims 3 content I had previously purchased on Steam, onto Origin. As of now, I haven't gotten much into that, as the procedure involved in this is also big in scope. I did read up on a possibility to re-categorize buydebug items, so that they show up in the "normal" buymode. I do, however, have some alternative explanations, in this post:īut beyond that, there isn't much left for me to say. The work effort behind the final conclusion in the thread I linked to was almost epic, lol. In all likelihood, I myself will not look further into these files. While I'm sorry to hear about your issue, you are in a very tiny minority, and I don't have any explanation as to why this is still happening for some. And so is the case with the vast majority of other users on here. I can use these store fixes without any issue whatsoever. I myself don't have this issue you are talking about. The last version of these fixes, which I myself "authored", almost completely remedied this bug. Toward the end of this discussion thread, I/we concluded that this issue was due to conflicting entries within these store fix files. If you need specific help yourself in the future, please open a NEW thread instead of bumping someone else's thread.Īs for your issue, it was a big debate topic back then. Most likely not, but first of all, this is not your thread. RedBeardCeltic wrote:Will you guys be releasing a new version of StoreFix_Decrap_Fixes.package ? I've traced the cause to the file: StoreFix_Decrap_Fixes.package

When I remove the storefixes from the mods folder, it immediately fixed it. Yes, I've tested this many times, deleting cache, using MC reset, etc. I checked the "current game folder" and noticed the nhd file is not updated, the game hasn't even begun to save yet. This indicates some sort of memory leak? Either way, the game is just stuck in an infinite loop. I checked task manager and discovered the memory is not changing, CPU at minimal. This allows me to return to "live" mode after using buydebug, however when I save the game, it is stuck in "saving" loadscreen. So, I tried EIG cheat to edit the lot while in live mode. Since it is stuck in a "loading" screen, all user interface is inactive and you cannot save. Actually to be very specific, turning on the buydebug cheat won't cause the problem until you actually placed an object from the buydebug cheat. No, you can't save since it is on "loading" and the user interface has been disabled. In edit town mode: When editing a lot with buydebug on, the game will be stuck in a "loading" screen upon exiting the lot. I didn't want to start a new thread because I think it is the same issue, from a different angle.īasically I traced the issue to the latest storefixes for Sims 3.
I like to add more information to this glitch.
